HELLO! My name is Melina Rose and I create illustrations that live at the intersection of whimsy and the weird. strange little characters that could just as easily belong in a children's storybook as they could in an eerie animated short. My work blends childlike simplicity with dark surrealism, exploring the playful and the peculiar in equal measure. Influenced by artists like Guillermo del Toro, Tim Burton, and Mark Ryden, I aim to build worlds that feel both nostalgic and otherworldly. cute, but not quite safe. Working primarily in digital and mixed media, I strive to capture a sense of personality and story in every design, as if each character has a secret they're keeping just under the surface.
